Filled Series | Pentecost Sunday

Jun 8, 2025    Pastor John Zayas

In our journey of faith, boldness in prayer and obedience to God's commands are emphasized as pivotal actions. We are encouraged to break free from our comfort zones, trusting in God's supreme power and understanding that His love and grace consistently intervene in our struggles. Through the story of the Pentecost, where the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples, we learn the importance of waiting on God and the transformative power of being filled with the Spirit. This narrative reminds us that while life's challenges, like injustices or personal burdens, can feel overwhelming, God's presence aids us in finding clarity and strength. As we embrace the Holy Spirit’s guidance, we realize that dead things in our lives—be it spiritual dryness or relational struggles—can come alive when surrendered to God. Our faith journey invites us to remember that we are not disqualified, regardless of past sins, but are called into the family of God, just as Rahab and Ruth were. Let us reflect on our roles within God's plan and allow His Spirit to inspire us to live transformed lives, bearing the fruit of love, grace, and fellowship.
