Dying To Live | Lent Series | Pastor John Eric Zayas

In John 12, Jesus gives His final public message before turning His attention to preparing the disciples privately for what is coming next.

As Passover approaches and crowds fill Jerusalem, something unexpected happens: Greeks—Gentiles—begin seeking Jesus. Their desire signals a turning point in history.

Jesus responds not with explanation, but with a kingdom principle:

“Unless a kernel of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.” — John 12:24

In this moment, Jesus reveals the meaning of the cross before it happens.

Glory will come through death.

Sacrifice will lead to multiplication.

This teaching explores:

Why Jesus described His death as His greatest moment

How the cross changes our identity

Why discipleship requires dying to ourselves

How God uses death, pruning, and surrender to produce life

What it means to walk in the light and become children of light

Where there is death, there is multiplication.

Jesus died so that life could spread across the earth—and He invites us to follow Him in that same pattern of surrender.

Join us as we unpack what it truly means to die to live.
